James, do you seriously want to give up the 10th ranked Guard in the League {and another player} for a basket of mid and late-round Draft picks? JAX gets a quality Guard for at least one season; what do the Raiders hope to get out of all these picks?

Super Bowl XIX - 2nd Place

Raiders dont lose much with their depth at guard. Market value for an average to below average #1 guard is not that high. See G Ray Dominguez, CB RJ Stanford as example of talent to be found in 4th. Given recent much more imbalanced and higher stakes trades that did not get any commentary (e.g. PIT-MIA), not sure why this one needs it.

Don't bring me into this, there was nothing wrong with my trade. Nothing unbalanced about it!

Actually, I lost on the trade but.....

As for the trade above, The Raiders coach has 105 games under his belt. He is free to do as pleases.
But the trade on its face, not horrible. Yes the G is good but he's also old and needs protection. Maybe the Raiders get lucky in the draft and a OL falls. It has happened many times with OL.

While I do have him as a high rank guard. In my honest opinion I most likely am not getting through Miami and SD to the Super Bowl for a few seasons. This means that he won't be there when I would need a top rated guard and with my depth at guard plus the complete lack of value that older players seem to demand in this league to me it looks win win. This way I can use these picks to get to fill other needs. I can see the other side but besides Washington I don't see much demand for player 8+ around this league.

You've got nothing to worry about, trades don't get reversed werks after being approved. I'm not bringing you into anything because nothing being decided here affects you directly. Im not even arguing your trade should have been disallowed.
However, if we're going to be consistent here than it is necessary to compare trades that are approved immediately with those that are singled out for alternate treatment. Maybe you take offense that I selected a trade you were involved in, but I had to pick a trade to compare to.

As I see it, you traded two of the most valuable WRs in the game for a good Young RB, a TE (very low value position), a WR less valuable than the two you traded away, a decent CB, a developmental DE, and and a 4th.

In terms of talent and youth, I do not see you winning on that deal in terms of talent, youth, or contract years on valuable players. But thats just my opinion and I bring it up only for comparative purposes and not to impugn your ability as an owner.

I got
HB1 ranked 10th in league and young
WR2 ranked 16th in league and in his prime
TE1 ranked 8th in league and young. Position value aside, i got a good one.
DE2 ranked 50th but with very high pot and young
CB3 ranked 49th in league and young
4th rd pick which you just cited could be a good player.

I did give up 2 great WRs. But I replaced one right away with a player 98% of the ability of one of them. Hey, if you or any team will give me this package for my 2 best players, send those offers. I will take 6 for 2 every time. All the players are young with potential and filled needs across the board. Those WR can't play defense or run the ball for me.
I became a better team the moment I made this trade.

stop I will move the players. I just wanted to see the Raiders logic, not start another debate about other trades.
