Re: Some Bye-week food for thought on Realism in the PNFL

Jerry wrote this in the email, about the idea of deleting or re-classifying plays that are deemed not effective: The relative average success of a play is not a reason to cut it. It does not statistically show whether it has a use in the right circumstance. The fact no one found a circumstance to ev...

It's up to the AFC playoff teams to defeat The Headless Horseman. It can be done.

Re: Some Bye-week food for thought on Realism in the PNFL

Excellent response Rich and many good points made. I think you understand well what I was wanting to communicate. There is a lot of crap in the play files, much of which we never use. There are plays that good one week against one team and not so good another week against another team. One week a pl...

Re: Some Bye-week food for thought on Realism in the PNFL

I agree that the play pool should be reduced. Too many bad plays, clones and unused plays. Delete all plays that haven't been called at least 3 times in the last 5 seasons unless the play was introduced in the past season. When we get the tool that Brain discussed on the show, that will make creati...

Some Bye-week food for thought on Realism in the PNFL

I was thinking about this yesterday afternoon, about how realistic simming tens of thousands of games involving thousands of plays and if this is realistic to NFL football. One coach refers to tens of thousands simmed games as weekly practices, but is this truly realistic? There ae thousands of play...

From GOAT to absolute JOKE?

Imagine for a minute... after retiring from the PNFL, Thomas joined the PCFL and we all expected he would build a program and compete for titles in the PCFL. The he starts the 2027 season 2-3 in the PCFL, and those 2 wins are most score wins over CPU teams and losses to three human coached teams. Th...

Re: Byes & Bullets

The split byes idea is not feasible. FBPRo98 scheduling doesn't allow byes, this one week bye is by pausing the season a week. Furthermore, we have 18 teams that play 9 games each week. If half the teams have a bye, 4 teams have a match and one team has no opponent. Or 10 teams get a bye one week an...

Re: DL Run/Pass Focused

I assumed 2 out of 3 was already the rule. I made sure of this on recently created plays and fixed those 2 PM defenses that had 3 DLs all in run rush instead of pass rush. I think that as the rule is fine.
