Proposal Proposal Change

Postby Jerry-Redskins » Tue Apr 28, 2026 2:40 pm

How about a rule to talk Formal rule changes in the off season that cannot take effect for a full season ahead. I'm worried about winning the league title now and not changes to rules for the very next season.

Some of us plan a head multiple season. Especially roster construction.

"Formal rule change discussions take place in the offseason. Approved proposals take affect no earlier than 1 season ahead. Does not include immediate Commish changes for game breaking issues."

I vote NO unless amended to this:

"Formal rule change discussions take place in the offseason and the bye week during the regular season. Approved proposals take affect no earlier than 1 season ahead. Does not include immediate Commish changes for game breaking issues or preferences."

Come on Steve :) The bye week? The bye week should be a week to completely ignore the PNFL.

I just would like to not have to discuss changes formally during anytime in the season and think we should have them affect things later to be fair.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind a set time for rule change discussion after the Super Bowl. I am not a person that checks forums every day.

Relax, Jerry. Feel free to discuss proposals and rule changes during this bye week as you prepare for your week 10 bye week and preparing to play at Miami week 11.

Seriously? You guys are being ridiculous. Way too controlling. This past week is the first time this league has had any discussion activity in the forum for months. We had several great discussions. It's actually great for the league and shows outsiders we are quite active not just on the field. Everyone was informed about these posts via email too. Charlie started it with the draft and injury stuff and he's the commissioner. I only posted because the guys in the last FNLs Discord said I should. There is nothing wrong with anyone posting anything during the season or the offseason. Stop being so rigid. You sound like grumpy old men.
