I'm experimenting with SUB % in my profile. As we continue ti create more ratings differentiation in our future draft picks, I think SUB % will play a bigger factor in our profiles.

Curious, how much emphasis do you all put in the SUB %?

I hope we get some participation in this thread. I tried several years ago to have this discussion. I think there is a sweet spot if your talent level is good with EN. A decade or so ago I switched around and settled into the current settings I use which seem to give good results. I always wonder if the teams that have those crazy high completion % when the WR's do not seem better actually have a better sub pattern and their attributes are in a better place. Otherwise it is harder to reconcile QB Locker and QB Carrs results compared to others

Well, to get a feel for this you need to play some practice games (human, not computer) and take a look at your key players to see how they lose energy after one, two, or three plays. Not to give away top-secret information, my players are like 95/96 OUT and 98/99 IN. What you need to evaluate is whether or not your backups at 100% are better than your starters at 95%. The downside is that changes to your Offensive line affect Centers, Guards, and Tackles equally like backs and defensive backs. One thing I try to do is tighten up the replacement percentages when I play an away game because of the loss of EN when you travel (e.g. Backs in an away game would probably be 97/98 OUT and 99/100 IN), or something like that depending on the quality of the depth of the particular position.

I have similar % to you Charlie. Mine are an open book since I have the Open PPP's set the same way.

Mine aren't very different from yours either 97 out on defense and 93 on offense.

I was observing a game earlier today where I "coached" against the CPU. After 2 or 3 plays, most of my starters were "red" on the substitution view. However, some players could be subbed out because the play call required too many players from a position group.

Honestly, I have not worried or thought much about the sub % since there has been very little difference between player ratings. I mean, after 2 players, my CB4 his rated higher than my CB1.

However, let's say at some point my CB4 ratings are much different from my CB1. Maybe my CB1 would be rated higher for 7 plays. That means I want to drop my sub % to keep my starter in the game longer. That adds a new dynamic to game strategy.

I am pretty much the same way. I did play with them a few years, ago. I don't remember it making a huge difference.
