Bad wording. I didn't mean it to be condescending.

That's the goal. It's the only issue we've ever had with points: Excessive, unnecessary hoarding.

This easy to implement limit addresses that while still giving teams the ability to potentially still have a lot of carryover points.

Rich seems interested in it, so let's leave it up to him to decide.

He controls the points, so this should be his final call. No vote needed really.

While I am fine with the idea. I want to point out realism teams are allowed to carry unused cap over to the next season.

NFL a team carries over any unused cap to the next season.

For example, if the cap is 300 m 2 years in a row. If a team spends 250m the first year, their cap is 350m the second year.

The cap floor is 89% of the league cap over a four-year window. You can be under the floor for any number of years as long as when you look at the four-year window, you are over the floor for that period.

Here's a random thought...instead of limiting the points you can rollover, how about we implement a "floor" by requiring everyone to spend x amount of points?

This is a great idea and maybe we still allow points trading BUT no trading of the x number of points that are required to be invested in your team, forcing teams to likely use those on contract signings of their more valuable players.

My opinion is still simple is better. I actually have no issue with a carry over cap similar to Steve's suggestion. I do not support a very low one. Steve's idea of the annual allotment as the amount is reasonable. We do need to take into consideration other teams. I see comments about planning. Well there are those of us who do plot ahead to some level around our roster and available points. Hence why these type changes need to be applied a bit in the future in my opinion. Easiest way I believe is also to pick a single time each season. Say SNS, Start of League Season, or Start of week 1.

Fine with no change in the carry over. As you know I believe the issue with the cap is the movement of cap between teams and "freebies" which inflates available cap space.
