If someone tells me which of my existing AZ, LA or LAC plays clearly suck, I'll make an attempt to fix them. If there are plays I made that aren't being used at all, let me know and I'll fill my plans with them after week 8 if I continue this losing streak.

Blessed are the playmakers! I think we all appreciate the contributions that Dean and others have made to our play pool.
As someone who likes to create a play every now and then, I tend to sympathize with the Creatives of the league. However, I understand Charlie‘s concerns as well. Aesthetically, I don’t want to see or create a game plan that’s just a few individual plays with six or seven or eight clones each.
The rules state that we need to use unique plays in each category and a clone or near clone is simply not a unique play in my mind. I like Neil’s suggestion that plays have a family tree. Since we don’t want to create more work for Charlie it should be the responsibility of the play creator, if cloning, to indicate a new play’s original template, otherwise Charlie should dismiss it out of hand. Then Charlie can have a database of clones he can refer to and use his best judgment as to whether to accept a new play or not.
I also like the idea of writing over your old plays if you wish to create new ones in order to keep the play pool at a manageable size.

The "negative comments" are in response to some really poor arguments you have made, and the problems with those arguments. Writing "I disagree" is not sufficient. Please make better, stronger and more logical arguments, then they would warrant disagreement. I have little tolerance for non sequitur arguments. Nothing personal, I suggest not taking it personally when one of us as several here have, not just me, refutes very poor arguments.

Well, Dean, some of the Coaches may find our discussion entertaining, even humorous, but I do not! The Message Board is intended to exchange ideas with the intended result to better the League, not to berate other coaches. I have asked you twice to dial it back, but you keep doubling down with your destructive personal attacks rather than offering something constructive to the discussion. I think we can agree to disagree on the approach to Custom Plays without personal attacks on my opinion as to how to proceed for the good of the League. For the third and last time, I am asking you to cease and desist with the personal attacks and focus on suggestions that will make the League better.

How about we take two weeks for everyone to cool off then implement the compromise solution on a trial basis for the remainder of the season. We can then discuss in the offseason any tweaks to the policy. Healthy debate is always a good thing, but we need to try to keep it healthy and a debate.
