Why does this thread have like 7 pages now?
I stopped reading around page 2.5 and realized I just wasted the last 2 minutes of my life.
The first page - ok concerns raised - re buttle etc.
After that, nothing helpful. Just divisive.
Let us just try to simulate Football and have fun.

Looks like FPEdit98 already does this. Just need to export the players to CSV. Use Excel to age the players how the league sees fit and then use FPEdit98 to import the updated or new CSV back into the league.
True. We could use FBEdit98 to reduce physical attributes for players by 1% a year starting at the year anti-aging kicks in. They're ratings would be protected until that year. However, that likely adds more work on Rich and would we then let the players retire on their own at this point? Since our ratings are so close together for players, a 1% decline across the board in physical attributes will drop a player to the bottom of the depth chart which would likely create an immediate retirement. That's cool, but that a lot of extra work for a player to to immediately retire vs keeping the system we have now.

Moxs was like... "Hmmm, this thread looks is getting a lot of attention. Let me check it out. Well, these are some interesting facts and arguments on page 1. Let's see why this thread is lasting so long. What's on the rest of the pages? WTF??? WHOA!!!"

Re: Serious concern about the direction of the league
Gentlemen, I figured that I would let the Thread run its course before I voiced my opinion, and it looks like we are getting close to the end, I hope.
First, it makes my hair hurt to see inflammatory, disparaging, and derogatory comments from any of our owners directed towards another owner or the management staff. I am sure that salient points can be presented with the expletives deleted or at least toned down.
The game has flaws, and over the past twenty-five-plus years, we have made what rule changes we can to keep up with the NFL, given the game’s limitations. Rich correctly explained the tradeoffs in preserving some of the aged players relative to what the game would do to these players. And I understand the “unicorns” in the NFL that leave their walkers on the sidelines and go out onto the field. In the PNFL, we have some, but not a lot, and we do not need a lot. Not unlike the 2DL defense against the run. Do we really want a “unicorn” defense to dominate a defense game plan that is rarely used in the NFL? I just watched all the playoff games in the past couple of weeks and did not once see a 2-DL defense called in a run situation! They are really Hail Mary situations.
Regarding Rookie starters, I will address that in the next Draft, which is already a work in progress, so let’s hold the comments on that issue.
Regarding attribute deterioration for age, that can be done, but I would like some suggestions, but in a different Thread, which I will open later today.
With all its flaws, we have survived over twenty-five years, and I believe that most people enjoy the PNFL as a great hobby. Yes, we will occasionally make minor changes that affect all of us, but they are always intended for the good of the League, whether they are agreed to by all. Our prime directive is to preserve the League, not any particular team.

I want to apologize for letting my asshole side come out, but I will be honest: I am so tired of the "I believe something to be true, so it is" that goes on. Schools did a great disservice to people by teaching them opinions can't be wrong. If your opinion isn't backed by facts, it can very much be wrong.
I am sorry for going off.

Rams and Seattle
1st Quarter 5:28 first and 10 Rams in 2 down linemen
1st quarter 3:22 3rd and 2 Rams in 2 down linemen
1st quarter 2:53 1st and goal Rams 2 down linemen
2nd quarter 6:46 1st and 10 Seattle 2 down linemen
3rd quarter 4:57 3rd and 3 Rams 2 down linemen
4th quarter 14:18 1st and 10 Rams 2 down linemen
That is just scanning 37 key plays in the game. There were a bunch more on passing downs.
