In the first season of the PCFL every team had nearly euqal overall talent with more variation in player ratings. Some teams recruiting more skillfully have opened up leads in talent on the roster. But this season the won-loss records and scores in the 2028 season of the PNFL show some degree of parity rising. We've had more upsets in game results.
I think parity is at an all time high in the PNFL even with Wash at 14-2 (still some close scores) and Chi at 13-3.

This is why very small changes in player diversity are best.
And Mitch makes a point, we have some very experienced coaches who should be able to manage a roster.
Just because we have historically had some great coaches, does not automatically mean they must be the best GMs too.
Even if you are a lousy coach at the moment, you can be a great GM.
For starters, stop handing over your first rd picks for pennies on the dollar.
Here are 2 pieces of GM advice:
#1 If you are a below .500 coach, never trade your first rd pick 6 months from that draft.
If you do trade it, stop lying to yourself by pretending it has equal value as Washington's.
Trade it pretending its the #1 pick in the draft each and every season and demand compensation accordingly.
#2 Never trade for players that are essentially no more talented to players in the FA pile.

#3 Never pay extra to restructure player contracts when you can sign the same or similar player for less in the FA pool.
